Red mesa and savanna notched with sheer drop-offs, cliffs, outcrops, spires and arches of red stone, badlands and ravines and gullies. Most prominent is the canyon, a deep gorge through the earth that cuts through the hills. A narrow river runs through it, tumbling over ledges and steep banks.
